Elyon (formerly known as Ascent: Infinite Realm) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Krafton and published by Kakao Games. The game has focused on dynamic combat between two Realms, Vulpin and Ontari, with players using diverse skill combinations on the basis of the non-targeting system.
In this video I’ll give you the information I know about the game and why I think it could work or flop in the West prior to both the CBT and the game release in the West.
So please sit back and enjoy and I hope you like my latest project, any feedback is more than welcome. Love you guys.

Thoughts? Beliefs? Jokes? Ideas? Anything, let me know!
It's funny you talk about Kakao and Gameforge as a p2w comparison. Right now gameforge is bringing Swords of Legends Online to us while being fully transparent with the shop and having only cosmetics there and the game will be out on summer.
Elyon will be Q4 this year and we already know about stuff like Luminous that is gacha system locked behind Gear Currency. Also Gear Currency can be afforded with in-game money and… in the other way. We can transfer gear currency into in-game money. For the auction house prices in asia, for 300$ you could exchange gear currency to in-game money allowing you to buy +5 runes for all your gear on +8(so each giving you 3 rune slots). And this was compared to 20-30h grinding for money, while the person that paid have both in-game money and runes in no time.
So… saying "it's not p2w, you can't just buy the best gear like in archeage" is somehow true, because of gear being bind(except the one breakable one), but there's a lot of things beside of gear that you can just buy in no time and have gigantic adventage comparing to how much time someone have to spend to make up for this.
I guess the only defend here is that other players can afford Luminous too, as we can get gear currency for in-game money and also that some things are locked for everyone(like you can't summon a field boss faster or get more time in instance to farm for sephirot points[yet]). But still, especially for B2P game, this is pretty bad item shop and definitely p2w, as it can give you a real advantage over non-playing players(especially the gacha, where you just swipe your card and people won't have that much in-game money to convert only for luminous chests). I think what can be done is to make a weekly limit for the transfer, like they have for selling costumes in BDO, but still… it's not a real solution, just a little thing to slow down those paying players to not get too muc advantage quickly.
I really do not like calling a game p2w before it even released, but if shop looks like this in Asia, I do not see a reason why Kakao would not make it the same for us.
