It’s been quite the packed month in terms of MMORPGs. We’ve had a lot of news concerning the upcoming MMO Lost Ark including its North American and European launch, Aion Classic launching everywhere around the world in English, the Palworld co-operative RPG, Tower of Fantasy completely overhauling the UI for the Anime MMO, Digimon Super Rumble entering pre-registration for its Closed Beta, PSO2 New Genesis’ recent launch over in English, Albion Online Mobile’s launch, Elyon’s reveal of their Closed Beta 2 in August, The Elder Scrolls Online’s “Console Enhanced” patch, Bless Unleashed launching onto PC in August, Palia, a brand new gorgeous MMORPG, Closers’ introduction of a brand new character, and the full release of the Crowfall MMO after years of waiting.

We have plenty of new MMORPGs coming this year. While I’m not sure whether any of these will become the best MMO, it’s safe to say that given these are free to play MMORPGs, you’ll no doubt have something that piques your interest. Whether that be an Anime MMO, an action MMO – a new MMO or old. There’s an MMORPG out there for you somewhere.

  2. My most anticipated mmorpg is FF xiv endwalker, even tho i haven't even played shadowbringer, i only played the free content, still i hope to save so money to at least be able to play 3 months in summer break right in the time for the climax of this story

  13. I was hyped for Lost Ark until i played it myself.
    Its generic and boring. Sure it looks good but at current state with amazon publishing it in the West, we will have a hard time. Amazon will not adjust the cash Shop which means that we have to pay for Premium, pet buffs etc.
    Also it tok way too long for it to Release and the hype is pretty much gone.
    Performance and grafics are good. For a freetoplay Game, nothing to qq about at the end.

    Im excited for Palia.
    Atm playing Phantasy Star New Genesis and i love it.
    Also cant wait for Palworld. TemTem made the first step by removing Pokemon from the Monopol of the genre.

    I was never a fan of digimon but i started watching some Animes and im kinda excited for it aswell.

    Edit: Phantasy Star online New Genesis doesnt have Server problems anymore.
    Pls explain why you say that there is a lack of content. Phantasy star online was always a grindy game, especially at start.
    People started crying about content after 4h ingame which is so disrespectfull in my eyes.
    We had never such a good looking anime style MMORPG with such good combat and so many cosmetics and easy to learn mechanics. Sets expectation very high for others.

Out of all the MMO's coming out this year Lost Ark was at the top of the list but after the news of it having regions locked, it meant I wasnt gonna be able to play with my friends from Latam which honestly broke my heart a little. Now all I can do is hope that Swords of legends will give me the wuxia, cultivation, fighting style fix I have been craving for such a long time, hopefully I will also be able to meet some like minded people in the game and together reach and obtain the swords of legend!.

  20. Well i've been waiting Lost Ark for like 6 years (?) now. I think i was in middle of highschool when it was announced and now i'm about to graduate from college so i really wanna play the game. I really enjoyed technical alpha it was a pretty fun experience but it was just not enough to get to later in game. Super hyped for it.

  25. so, after my WoW guild folded I went back to ESO… thing is with an ESO2, that may not really kill the game, or at least it doesnt have to. Canonically we're about ~200 years from the rise of Tiber Septum and his failed colonization attempt of Akivir. that would be RICH for story telling, we've never been there and it would allow for some really great campaigning. so, I would LOVE to see us transition to the dawn of the 3rd era. BUT, yeah, how does that not kill the game? they just need to keep progression from existing characters. perhaps not level, maybe we have to re-level, but, pull a Rift, send us into the future, OR preserve us magically and allow us to come back after the time skip. hell, capture us in a soul stone where time has no real meaning and have Talos release us back into our bodies to serve him in the new Imperial Army. let us keep learned crafting motifs, mounts, cosmetics, everything that would transfer from one to the next. we will lose housing and other big items that people have sunk time, gold, and RL dollars into, but enough people will stick around and accept that somewhat, and new people that were put off by the original ESO launch will join in the new game….. BUT, IF there is an ESO2, there is ZERO chance it'll release before TES6, if I were Microsoft I'd release it about a year down the road so you dont cut your sales of TES6 and the hype is still peaked when ESO2 is ready to go.

  30. The maintenance on Wednesday seems to have fixed most of the server-related issues in PSO2:NGS, along with a few bugs and optimization issues. It definitely feels like SEGA's putting a lot of effort into mending the rocky launch 🙂

  32. im sub dude but I bought all those mmo games you mention :") yeah im a sucker for mmo games .. but I wlll say my fav game I play this year is Lost Ark even though it was 20 hours of alpha I have played it in RU server as well and I love this game 🙂

  34. I'm most excited about Tower of Fantasy and Lost Ark! They both look like a lot of fun and hopefully could run on my computer as Genshin runs smoothly but Pso2NGs didn't.
