Once again changing its title and game to Elyon. As Closed Beta entered North America, thanks to Kakao Games for publishing – I noticed some… if not a lot of similarities to Bluehole’s previous venture, TERA Online.

I honestly fell in love with tera when it became free to play long time ago and knowing that this game is similar with a new and more populated player base is just gonna be another good time. (hopefully)

I just want something new to play. Idc much if it copies assets from their other game. It's pretty, fun, and new. I can see how it can be just another generic mmo, but imo every game doesnt have to be this new special cool thing.
If it is the same dev team for tera then this game won't last for long last thing we want to see in elyon is a 30 dollar battlepass and 30 for elite gold that only give you wood scrap

The Frimbilisk and Ovolith imitations are just… wow. It's worse when, as a TERA player, you realize how much TERA likes to reskin mobs for different purposes and if they are doing that HERE BEFORE RELEASE, it doesn't paint a good picture for the future.
Is the combat the same as TERA tho? I felt it was kinda worse, like the game felt floaty when I watched the trailers (but I haven't played it myself yet). It feels like you don't ground yourself when attacking and you can just walk and attack which isn't what TERA's combat is all about, there's a lot of canceling but you can't move as much if you want to finish combos completely in TERA.

Also, Tera is the only mmo that I grinded 13 fucking characters to max level. Literally no other mmo made me do this.
I mean yeah I see similarities but it is from the same creator and it's a game on the same model both of gameplay stile and monetization model. they had animations and models ready. they reused them and updated them to save money even Pixar does it so yea it's what I expected: refreshed, updated for modern age Tera.
