Elyon is finally here. Beta signups for western launch are live through to April 25th, with the first short closed beta test going live on May 6th to May 10th. They’ll do roughly 2 tests, one for stressing the servers with many people following this first one and then full launch shouldn’t be too long after.
Elyon Ascent Infinite Realm is an upcoming RvR focused MMORPG developed by Bluehole AkA Krafton, published in North America and Europe by Kakao games. The Closed Beta is coming real soon and after that? The Western launch.

I feel absolutely nothing from the gameplays shown . All I see is every korean mmo out for the past decade and half with just a different shade of the same paint. I expect generic mmo fare bare of solid content with heavy emphasis on cash shop mtx, cosmetic, xp/level boost, coins and etc . Tl;dr looks like another whale bait.

Man, I'm trying really hard trying to find something new or original from the footage of this mmo. I really am. All I see is the same BDO, Archage, Tera, Aion, Lineage grindfest that's been around for literally decades. I bet it's going to be really heavy on the cash shop, if it's not P2W outright.
I long for the day when I can boot up a new mmo and actually feel like I'm playing something new, instead of the same jank they keep overhyping and shoveling out into the world.

Well, worst case scenario it'll be a stepping stone that'll allow me to have some fun for a week or two. Been downloading and deleting literally every MMORPG on the market for the past two weeks with a self-induced delusion in which I keep saying myself "this will be the one I'll play till the next MMO that I'll sink my entire life in comes". Even the sunk cost fallacy I have with BDO didn't make me keep playing it, due to the same reasons you adressed in your own "Why I don't play" video. I did return to my signature game Vindictus though, in which I am OP and the feel of the combat is like no other. I'll wait for Elyon here. At least a brand new one that I didn't play at all should be able to last a bit longer. Oh and for the algorithm, I like trains.
