About ELYON: Ascent Infinite Realm
ELYON is a new upcoming MMORPG game developed by Krafton. In April,2020 game have get full rebranding with changing a previous name Ascent: Infinite Realm into Elyon. ELYON is the name of the portal, a rift that leads to a new world (Ayngard) where PVP and Realm vs Realm battles will unfold. But that was not he only change. One of the most important changes was a change from tab-targeting system to non-targeting combat system! The main focus of new non-targeting combat system is placed on customizing skills! Combat system has been greatly improved and the PvP content has been intensively developed. Skill design can be customized by the user with various combinations of variables, but it is recognized that in a real game environment users are more likely to disclose and share the combination with the highest efficiency. In PvE it was designed to have different skill strategies in general monster hunting and boss raids. In PvP player will be able to have lots of fun through customizing different skills. There are many PVP modes, including 1vs1, 2vs2 and 3vs3 arenas! Through the in-game ‘Ranking System’, the top players of PvP / RvR-related content can acquire ranking rewards that are given at regular intervals, and especially, players who occupy the first place will get some special items such as armor to be different from other users. You will get rewards for showing off to people. Airships, which where one of the main features of Ascent: Infinite Realm will still be in the Realm vs Realm mode, while content involving them such as exploring floating islands for treasures and PVE combat against large flying monsters will be there. Mechs are mainly used for special scenarios rather than in general combat. On April,11,2020 game went into first CBT and after that we all wait to hear some news regarding Open Beta testing in Korean region. Game will be released in western regions by Kakao Games after its Korean release in December, 2020. For now we still dont have any official release date for western regions, but we have finally get official announcement of Elyon Closed Beta Test!

Business model should be 5 bucks base with local prices for Asia, South America and Africa. End of story. And only acceptable buyable item should be stash like Path of Exile. Anything is expensive or you are being used as a product.
Buy to play with pay to win is worse than just free to play, in fact Path of Exile is less pay to win than Black Desert that was always "buy to play". People don't understand business model and game design apparently.
Look there is something absolutely wrong with the "feedback" thing. You can't make a product based on what people want. Imagine if comercial airplanes designed their Airplanes based on polls of masses of people requirements? you can guess thousands of deaths or at the least very uncomfortable travels. It's not so different with GAMES and ART, people is people, not experts, they enjoy, they don't understand just enjoy or not. What you like is not what it is correct, just what you subjectively like. So game design should never be around "what people ask". You can have a sort of direction of business based on MARKETS, not individual people, that's business decisions, but not make the entire product as what some people ask, because like in The Simpsons chapter when Homer designs a car for his brother company and then the company goes broke, people is stupid and that fact doesn't change because "but most people is asking thing" what usually masses of people chose is the WRONG things.
Damn Hideo Kojima seems to be triggered hard by this business model lmao.
My hopes? make a move similar to Path of Exile. but i am not really sure about that.

Thanks for the news and video. I wouldn't of even known this discord existed without seeing it here first. So thanks for that. I don't think Closed beta is gonna be that far away. I wonder if they will sell founders packs with Beta access? Actually it would make sense for them to do that. We shall see though
The publisher is kakao games? Didnt they went full pay2win and buy to play with BDO? Not the company i would trust.
Depends how much the game will cost and how many restrictions there will be. if it's 10 euro base package like BDO and then buy a convenience sub also with loyalties, then fine. If it's 40-60 euro base package and then buy more packages to unlock further, or buy "convenience sub" with money only…meh. But since Kakao has managed to balance the BDO model, I hope they will have a realistic approach here as well.
