1. Hear ye the word that YAHOVAH speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
2. Thus saith YAHOVAH, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.
4. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
6. Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O YHVH; THOU ART GREAT, and THY NAME is GREAT IN MIGHT.
7. Who would not fear thee, O KING of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
8. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
10. But YAHOVAH THE TRUE GOD, HE is the EL OLAM, and an EVERLASTING KING: at HIS WRATH THE EARTH SHALL TREMBLE, and the nations shall not be able to abide HIS INDIGNATION.
11. Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they SHALL PERISH from the earth, and from under these heavens.
12. He hath made the earth by HIS POWER, HE hath established the world by HIS WISDOM, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13. When HE uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; HE MAKETH LIGHTNINGS with rain, and bringeth forth THE WIND out of HIS treasures.
14. Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

26.  And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
  27.  Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
  28.  And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake YAHOVAH shall be consumed.
4.  He hath said, which heard the words of YAHOVAH, which saw the vision of THE ALMIGHTY, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
  5.  How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Yisrael!
  6.  As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which YAHOVAH hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
  7.  HE shall pour the water out of HIS buckets, and HIS seed shall be in many waters, and HIS KING shall be higher than Agag, and HIS kingdom shall be exalted.
  8.  YAHOVAH brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
  9.  He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up?  Blessed is he or she that blesseth thee, and cursed is he or she that curseth thee.

  13.  I do put my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
  14.  And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
  15.  And I WILL remember MY COVENANT, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
  16.  And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between YAHOVAH ELYON and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
